The island of St. Martin in the Lesser Antilles was divided between the French and Dutch.
The island of St. Martin in the Lesser Antilles was divided between the French and Dutch. The southern half went to the Dutch as Sint Maarten, while the northern half, Saint Martin, became part of the French department of Guadeloupe.
