Recipe
Ingredients
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cassava flour and salt.
- Gradually add the water to the mixture, stirring until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for a few minutes until it is smooth and elastic.
- Divide the dough into 8-10 pieces and shape each piece into a flat disk, about 1/2 inch thick.
- Heat a few tablespoons of vegetable oil in a frying pan or skillet over medium heat.
- Once the oil is hot, carefully place the Bammy disks in the pan, being careful not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Use a slotted spoon to remove the Bammy from the oil and transfer them to a paper towel-lined plate to drain.
- Serve the Bammy hot as a side dish with fish, meat, or vegetables.
