Fruit Cordial

Ingredients

• •3 cups sugar
• •1 tablespoon citric acid
• •1 tablespoon tartaric acid
• •3 lemons
• •3 oranges
• •1 1/2 liters boiling water

Directions

1. 1Place sugar and acids in a large basin.
2. 2Grate the rind from the fruit and add to sugar.
3. 3Squeeze juice from fruit and add. Pour boiling water over and stir until sugar is dissolved, cooled and bottled.
4. 4Before service dilute with iced water - 1 part cordial to 4 parts water.
