Creamed Peas and Potatoes

Ingredients

• •3 medium potatoes, peeled, diced
• •Cold water
• •1 teaspoon salt
• •1 10 ounce package frozen green peas
• •2 cups milk
• •1 tablespoon flour
• •1 tablespoon water
• •Salt and pepper

Directions

1. 1Place potatoes in medium saucepan. Add cold water to barely cover potatoes; add one teaspoon salt. Bring to boil over moderate heat; cook ten to fifteen minutes or until tender. Drain. Meanwhile, cook peas according to package directions. Drain; keep warm until needed.
2. 2Add milk and butter to potatoes; heat until bubbling. Combine flour and 1 Tbsp. water; mix well. Add to potatoes; cook, stirring, until thickened. Add peas; mix well. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
